A Letter from A.J. to Grammy & Grampa

Dear Grammy & Grampa,

Thank you so very much for coming up from Florida to visit us for Christmas this year.   Mommy and Daddy talked a lot about your visit and I was soooo excited!  I couldn’t believe my eyes when I woke up from my nap and there you were!!  Yesterday was so much fun, I can’t wait to spend time with you during the rest of the week. 

Mommy said she is going to print these pictures and put them in frames in my bedroom so that I can be reminded of you always when you’re back in Florida.  (Of course, you cooooould always stay here .I know of a lovely house for sale!)

On the Move…

I’ve been on vacation for a week now and I love that I get to spend so much time with AJ.  We had a rocky start to my two-week “holiday” due to AJ’s teething and lack of sleeping.  But we’re into a groove now (knock wood).  AJ has really gotten the hang of crawling and is cruising around the house now getting into EVERYTHING.  He’s starting to pull himself up and he’s getting a lot stronger when he’s standing.  The good word on Roby Road is “No!”  Between AJ and both of the dogs, I don’t think there’s another word we use as much!

All Things Merry & Bright

The holiday season has definitely descended upon us.  We’re sure of this because we haven’t stopped since Thanksgiving rolled around.  The month of December has been very busy (and we’re only half way through!).  Here are some highlights from our whirlwind beginning of the month!

We also celebrated Christmas on the Desrosiers side of the family.  What a fantastic day to spend with family…all the kids were spoiled with presents.  And AJ has really gotten the hang of how to open presents!!

Opening presents is serious business!

After a long day for the little guy, Daddy put AJ right to bed while Mommy put together all of his new toys.  I now have a much higher appreciation for all that my parents did for us kids at Christmas time (assembly, batteries, stickers and decals).  I did have fun playing with…I mean “testing” all of his toys.

And Santa hasn't even come to Roby Rd yet!

When AJ woke up the next morning, he wondered where all of his fancy boxes went and were all of these fun new toys came from!

Tis the Season...

....for football and photo shoots!

Adam deserved a day out with the guys, so he headed off to Foxboro with Mike and Lukas to catch the Patriots in action.  They had EXCELLENT seats 12 rows up from the field in the end zone that saw the most action.

While Adam was out with the guys, AJ had another photo shoot with Auntie Renee for our first photo Christmas card.  AJ did a great job.  He survived four wardrobe changes, more teething, and lasted an hour beyond his normal nap time.  Here's a sneak peek at our little Christmas elf!

I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures.  I have a feeling it's going to be VERY hard to choose just one for our Christmas card.  You'll have to wait to see which one we pick!

“It’s just what we do…”

Today was a very exciting day for the Pouliot men.  Adam and AJ were in a feature story on the local news station, WMUR.  Adam was informed a couple of days ago that he would be receiving an award for saving a young man’s life back in October, while he was working an overtime shift in Nashua.  While I was at work, Adam brought AJ along for moral support.  Little did we know that it would be such a highly publicized (and rightfully so!) event!!

I’m so very proud of Adam for the job he does every day. He’s such a kind, giving person and he does so much for everyone around him. What a FINE example for AJ to look up to!
