Aaaarrrgh!! Shiver me Whiskers!
Its school vacation week so that means lots of extra fun for the boys while they are at school. It was Pirates and Princesses week at Granite Start; and what better way to end the week than with a dress up day! Check out the boys sporting their pirate get up.

Take me out to the Ball Game
Meet the newest player for the Red Sox! Today was opening day for youth baseball and AJ joined his new team for what will definitely be an interesting season to say the least. 4 and 5 year olds playing ANY sport is entertaining. And I canst ignore Robert in this post. He was the LOUDEST person in the cheering section. "GO RED SOX!!! GO AJ!! GO PATRIOTS!!!" He was VERY proud of his big brother and really into watching the game.
Of course as with anything new, AJ for shy and a bit scared and his nerves took over. Daddy had to step in for some encouragement throughout the game. AJ is #3.
Maybe next week we will make other through without tears.

New Spaces
And the changes keep coming at the Pouliot household! We don't just stop at major transformations like the kitchen and the living room. We make small changes too that have BIG impacts.
And I just checked in on him at 6:15 AM (yes...he's STILL sleeping. Yahoooo!!!) and this is his current sleeping position.
You might remember a couple of weeks ago, our little munchkin Houdini'd himself right out of his crib and downstairs to roam freely in gen pop.
Well that of course meant that we had to dismantle the crib and set up a "big boy" bed. Ready or not (and trust me, Adam and I are not...that boy NEEDS to be contained!) a new big boy bedroom makeover.
I worked all day to clean his room, package up the old decor (*sniff sniff 😢) and get it somewhat ready for a very busy two and a half year old. I still have a bit of work to do. I need to sew the new valances and put some art on the walls, but those are things that Robert won't even notice...so for all intents and purposes, his room is done and ready for the next phase.
BEFORE
AFTER
I know I know...it's not as drastic as I was leading up to. But hey...this is a BIG deal.
I also decided to spiff up AJ's room too. I stripped the walls of the adorable farm animal decals (😩) and added a spectacular 3-D solar system. AJ is fascinated with all things science so this is PERFECT for his room. And added some new curtain panels to keep "the scary shadows" out of his room.
Overall, I would say they are both pretty pumped.
And it only took 45 minutes to get Robert settled into his bed.

Living Room Reno
Finally!! The last room of our house has been redone. All traces of the previous owners are GONE...especially the awful ecru wall color. We still have some minor decorative things to do with regards to wall decor, but overall, DONE!

Hippity Hoppity! 🐰
The alumni committee at Saint Anselm College is wonderful in sponsoring lots of family events. We took the boys to "Mommy's college" today for an Easter egg hunt and a visit with the Easter bunny. The boys had a wonderful time. They were more intrigued though with the water tower and buildings on campus than they were the actual event. Ha ha!

Big Boy on the Horizon
Guess who figured out how to climb out of his crib tonight. Imagine my surprise seeing this little monkey at the bottom of the stairs after I KNEW we put him IN the crib. Looks like we will be setting up the big boy bed tomorrow.

National Puppy Day
It was National Puppy Day earlier this week. Take a look at how much Marshal has grown since July (he was 8 weeks old then). He's 10 months old now.

Sleepover!
For the last few weeks, AJ has been begging me to sleep over Auntie Renee's. On Friday we were driving home from school and he asked me again. So we invited Ryan over to our house for a sleepover. AJ was so excited. Then he asked if Ryan could sleep in his room this time because "I have two pillows and I can share...one for me and one for Ryan."
The boys had a wonderful time running around, playing monster, building, climbing the playground at Chick-fil-a. It was a blast (and excellent birth control because it was LOUD in here).
But so cute...
