Children's Museum

Today, we treated the boys to a day out and about as a little pre-birthday surprise for AJ.  It's hard to believe that in just two more days, our little guy will be two years old!!  During this last month, we've seen quite a huge change in AJ's development.  His language skills have exploded and he's able to do so much more.  We thought that today would be a perfect day to go to the Children's Museum in Dover, NH.

AJ paused for a short snooze in the car on the way to the museum.
He only slept for about 20 minutes during the WHOLE day!

Before we got to the museum, we stopped for some lunch at AJ's favorite restaurante (McDonald's of course) where he could indulge in one of his favorite foods..."a burger".

This one makes me laugh hysterically.  Could their expressions be any more alike?!  Like father, like son!

While, we ate lunch, Robert lounged next to Momma.

He ate EVERY. LAST. BITE!

And now for some fun at the museum!  AJ was very excited by all there was to see...do...and touch.  He was even more excited that Mommy and Daddy gave him free reign of where we would go in the museum.  I think it's safe to say, he touched EVERYTHING (and justified a very good "Purell bath").

Building a car to race down the ramp!

Hmmm....What's in there?!

Service Please!!

And then he saw the Dinosaur Discovery area....and he was off!  Of course, he couldn't be bothered to take the ramp into the area right around the corner...he went OVER the wall.

Momma!  They have PHONES in the Dinosaur area!  "Hello....Gee Gee..." wait a minute...that's a DINOSAUR on the phone!

What boy doesn't love trains?  AJ had a lot of fun playing with the trains upstairs.

Daddy helped AJ "fly" the helicopters to the sky so they could swirl and twirl all the way down!

A little blurry because someone couldn't bother to stand and look at the camera for more than two seconds!

Who can blame him really...these colorful panels make so much FUN NOISE when you bang on them!

While Daddy & AJ explored, Mommy carried Robert around. He did in fact take in a lot of the museum sights and sounds.  I was quite surprised at how much he really enjoyed all that was going on around him!

But...after a bottle, it was time for a snooze...

We managed to get AJ out of the museum and into the car without a real battle.  Of course, we bribed him with a Mickey movie in the car.  He looks pretty relaxed back there doesn't he?

Til next time my friends!

Lights, Camera, Action!

This weekend was a busy weekend for the Pouliot family.  Auntie Renee came to the house to do a 4 month photoshoot for Robert.  Robert was VERY cooperative and the shoot went oh-so-fast!  I would LOVE to share the sneak peeks that she sent us, but I'll leave you all hanging with suspense. What I can tell you is that from what I saw, they are ADORABLE!!

In the mean time, while Mommy and Auntie were busy posing the littlest munchkin, Ryan and AJ were zipping around the house in silly fits of laughter.  Ryan is such a great big cousin!

Ryan's important message for all of us :)

He just can't get enough of Robert! This just makes me smile through and through!

AJ playing his favorite game with Ryan..."AJ WHERE ARE YOU?" (And this was the only way we could get all three boys in one shot...a certain someone (AJ ahem) just cannot sit still.)

The DuVarneys brought presents for the boys from their recent trip to Disney World.  AJ put his shirt on and couldn't resist..."MICKEY, WHERE ARE YOU???!!!"

A Future in Medicine

Stethoscope...check!
Bandaid...check!
Pretend patient...check!
Saw...check!   Wait a minute...saw?!

This is the collection of toys I came across on the table in AJ's toy room last night. While I'm SURE it was completely coincidental, it made me giggle. Could he have a future as a world renowned surgeon?

Keeping us Entertained

AJ most definitely has a touch of the Desrosiers silly!  He makes us laugh all day long (when we aren't yelling "NO!" that is!)

Riding Rocko wearing Daddy's hat!

Who turned out the lights?

Reading stories to his friend, Teddy.

I finally got him to sit on his 4-Wheeler...he won't ride it though.

AJ has become a master at stacking!  He stacks EVERYTHING!

Working with his new tool bench.

Silly AJ thinks he can still fit his his baby chair!

Brothers!

AJ has embraced being a big brother!  He's very proud of his "wrawra" (sounds more like "water" when he says "Robert").  When I pick them up from school, he proudly runs to the door of Robert's classroom and points and loudly says "WRAWRA!"  It's tough to capture them both in the same picture...but we have a few.

Wearing their "happy" faces.

Trying to give his brother a "ride" in his chair...I can only imagine what he great ideas they will have in the future...

"Dr. AJ" checks his patient.
