Catching Up

So sorry for the delay in posts. I just looked back at the blog and realize its been almost two months since I last updated it. Yikes!!! Needless to say, life has just been plain busy.

I apologize in advance for the "quality" of these photos as they are all from my phone. Seems the phone is all we have accessible (Mom can vouch for this.)

Since our last post, AJ has started to attend "school" twice a week (once his baby brother arrives, he will be going at least three days a week).

I'm ready to go to school and see what this is all about! Let's GO!!

And as one can imagine, once a child enters the school system, otherwise known as the world's biggest Petrie dish, comes colds, coughs, runny noses, and lots of boogies. YUCK! Although, AJ's first time being sick in all of his (then) 18 months of life, was actually due to a rare reaction from a routine vaccine...the Measles. Yes...AJ had the Measles....sigh. AJ has since recovered from his little sickness and has moved on to the more common cold variety of viruses. Looks like everyone should start investing in Kleenex and Boogie Wipes ;)

Our first "hint" that he wasn't feeling well...poor kiddo.

For three days, I would only sleep on Mommy.

Holding hands with Mommy & Daddy for a little comfort.

We kept the little guy busy with some new activities. One of his favorites is coloring with crayons. Among his favorite colors to use are "yewo", "baloooo", and "pewpo".

Coloring is SERIOUS business....

Or not so much... ;)

While AJ continue to grow and amaze us with all he learns every day, I've been busy incubating and growing his little brother. Baby Robert went through a stretch where it seemed he was very anxious to meet us. As a result, I'm on bed rest (ha! Yeah right). Adam has been an AMAZING dad and husband, managing to take care of us all AND start is new position as an Inspector/Investigator in the city's Fire Marshal's office. ( We're really VERY proud of him. )Here's a picture of the "bump" at 34 weeks. (I think this looks a whole lot like AJ did at 40 weeks, 2 days before I have birth to the little man!). Either way, the doctor's goal is to make it through to at least 36 weeks (that's only three days away). They estimate that if I do carry him to our scheduled surgery date at 39 weeks, that he will be bigger than AJ. (Hard to believe since AJ was just two ounces shy of 9 lbs and he was two feet long!!!)

34 Weeks when this "lovely" picture was taken
Well, there's a little peek at how WE are doing. We're also making progress on the house. The upstairs bathroom will be complete tomorrow and Robert's room is awaiting an area rug. Pics of that soon to come :)

Progress Progress Progress…

Adam and I (mostly Adam) have been very busy unpacking and updating the house to make it our own.  Our newest incubating munchkin has forced me to rest more often than I would like, so Adam has had to take the reigns and tackle the projects without me.  (Don’t worry…I didn’t just leave him to his own demise…I made an excellent supervisor!) Winking smile
*Special thanks to my dad for helping Adam paint the ceiling.  It looks AMAZING!!!
Check out some of our progress downstairs on the main floor!

August Fun!

WOWZA this is one HOT summer…for me at least anyway.  Being pregnant in this heat hasn’t always been a picnic.  I’ve managed to spend most of my time INSIDE with the AC to keep comfy.  But we’ve had a few breaks in the temps that made it bearable to be outside playing.  AJ is taking full advantage of the fenced in yard and all of HIS space!

Home is where the heart is...

We had our first family celebration at the new house this week!  While Michael, Michelle, Emma, and Elyssa were in New Hampshire for vacation, Adam and I were very excited to have the Desrosiers, Desrosiers, and DuVarneys over to the house for some food and family time.  AJ was thrilled to show everyone HIS house!!  I gotta say...it was awesome having everyone in one place :)

Adam "pracices" holding another little one!  Elyssa is just so darned CUTE!!

Michelle claims she is her grandmother reincarncated :)  (She must have been one heck of a party animal!)

Cousins!

The Dynamic Duo!

Grammy and Pepere with all their current "beans"!  (I love how happy their grandchildren make them!)

Happy Birthday, Dad!  And Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!!

If this pair doesn't spell trouble, I don't know WHAT does ;)

The next family gathering....Pouliot, Pouliot, Pouliot, Pouliot/Champagne!!!  Bring it on!!

Summer Summer...Havin' a Blast...

It's been a few weeks since we moved into our new digs.  (I'm saving pictures of the progress on the house a little while longer until we get more of the main living space painted and unpacked...patience patience!)  During these last few weeks, we've never been more sure that we made the right decision to move to the convenience of the city.  Our commutes are shorter, we met some friendly neighbors, and above all...AJ LOVES HIS NEW HOUSE!!!! (particularly the back yard).

AJ and the dogs love the freedom that the fenced yard gives them (ironic, I know...fences keep you restricted....yet it's some how liberating!).  These days have been hot, hot, hot and there's no better way to beat the heat than a little pool-side fun!  (Thank you, Grammy for donating your kiddy pool!  AJ is having a blast with it.)

Daddy sets up the pool while AJ dips his tootsies.  Harley looks on for an opportunity to steal some fun herself!

Getting used to the water....

Who's that drinking out of my pool!?!?!

Harley sneaks a gulp here and there next.

That's all for now!  More pictures of the house and how we are spending our summer as soon as the dust settles!
